What this site collects, and what it doesn’t
Short version: no accounts, no advertising trackers, and no cookies set by us. Quick Check files are analysed in memory and deleted when the analysis finishes. The details are below.
Data controller
Kvantix, CVR 46296036, Hjørring, Denmark. Questions about your data: validation@kvantix.tech.
This notice covers kvantix.tech and its Data Playground. The client portal (portal.kvantix.tech) is not open yet. It will have its own terms and privacy notice when it opens.
Server logs and page counts
- The site is hosted by Simply.com. Like any web server, theirs logs requests (IP address, time, page, browser) for operation and security.
- We count visits with Umami Cloud: your browser loads its script from cloud.umami.is. It uses no cookies and does not store IP addresses. It tells us which pages are read, not who reads them.
- Fonts and the 3D background are served from this site, not from third parties.
Your file is analysed, then deleted
- The file you choose is sent to our analysis server in the EU (Hetzner) over an encrypted connection.
- It is held in memory only, never written to disk, and deleted when the analysis finishes. We keep no copy and don’t use it for anything else.
- To stop abuse, the server limits requests per IP address. Its access log records the request, not the file.
- The file should contain predictions and outcomes, not personal data.
Runs in your browser
- Lock your prediction, Luck or skill?, Track record checker and Did the experts get it right? send nothing anywhere. Your text, clicks and numbers stay in your browser.
- The live status on the weather and energy pages is read by your browser straight from our public files on GitHub (or jsDelivr as a fallback). Those services see your IP address, as with any web request.
When you write to us
Our email is hosted by Simply.com. We use what you send only to answer you and, if you ask for a validation, to do that work. Files for a validation are deleted 30 days after the report is delivered. The report itself and its hashes are kept.
Access, correction, deletion
You can ask what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted: validation@kvantix.tech. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
Links to LinkedIn, X and GitHub take you to their sites, where their own privacy terms apply.
